I thought I would take a moment to introduce a new vaporizer that is now accepting orders! They call it the Cloud from VapeXhale. The Cloud is being developed by long term vaporizer aficionados. After years of using other products, they set out to make the vaporizer that trumps the competition. After some hard work, the manufacture is ready to show the world what they produced. From the looks of what they developed, they might have actually succeeded in creating a vaporizer worthy of your attention.

Recently a new portable vaporizer was revealed that will be released early this August called PAX. It is a portable conduction style vaporizer that promises to deliver a device that fits in the palm of your hand, making it an excellent option for people who are on the go. Although the device is not out yet, some details have started to emerge.
The price point is going to be $249. This seems to be the price point a lot of portable vaporizer manufactures are settling on. I have no previous experience with this manufacture. I can’t honestly guess if the build quality and performance will be worth the cost. Only time will tell if this device is worth the price tag. The reviews of their previous device seem rather favorable. If that is any indication of how this device will fare, then it could be a favorable sign.

Underdog Aromatherapy makes one-of-a-kind hand crafted vaporizers in California. They produce log style vaporizers that are reminiscent of vaporizers like the Purple Days (discontinued), EpicVape, The HI, and AromaZap. Log style vaporizers are usually characterized as a vaporizer form factor made from wood. These types of vaporizers are known for being user friendly while producing consistent performance.
When I was in the market for a new vaporizer, I got a tip from someone to check out the Underdog Vaporizers. I am so happy I decided to listen to their advice. I purchased a vaporizer from the manufacture awhile ago. I was so pleased with the performance that I now own three of their vaporizers. Each one is unique, functional, and a work of art that I am pleased to display at my desk. Something that you can’t say about all vaporizers. For example, The Plenty is a vaporizer that looks more at home in a tool chest than your coffee table.
I spent time running my dogs through their paces. I wanted to see how well they preformed. I finally feel I am ready to put together a comprehensive review. I also spent sometime producing a video review and demonstration of the vaporizers. Look no further if you were curious to find out more about these vaporizers.

I have been working hard on all the various vaporizer reviews for the site. It is taking me longer to get them done then I would have anticipated. The delay comes from the filming and making the video reviews. I do all my own stunts… meaning I have to film myself using the vaporizers. Sometimes I don’t always get it in the first take. For example I ended up getting this next video after the 3rd take. It is really limiting how fast I can produce the videos for the site.
This was supposed to be part of a larger video review for the Vriptech Heat Wand 3.0. I liked the clip so much that I thought it would make a good tutorial video. The VHW 3.0 is a wand style vaporizer that produces excellent results when you use the proper technique. Keep in mind there is a technique to using this device properly. If you follow the right steps you will be rewarded with thick clouds of delicious vapor.

If you read my previous article about knockoff grinder brands. You might remember that I purchased a Space Case grinder. I had a few days to use the grinder, and I wanted to give you my impressions. The Space Case grinder is a top of the line grinder manufactured in America. I decided to go with the Titanium Large Four Chamber grinder. It measures 3.5″ wide X 2.75″ tall. You can find a description on of the product on the this website.
Find out if the Space Case lives up to the hype after the break. There are also pictures and a video review after the break!
The Vaporizer Blog wanted to send a friendly reminder to its readers. There are many knock off brands out there. In particular one of the brands that I see most often at the local smoke shops is called SharpEdge. They are a knockoff of the popular Sharpstone grinder.
Many years ago I had an phenomenal grinder. I paid about $90 for it at a smoke shop in Austin Texas. That thing was a beast. It could chomp through anything. Always delivering a consistent grind. Unfortunately, after many years of daily abuse it finally got lost when I moved. Normally I have a philosophy of buying a reputable name brand produce instead of cheap knockoffs. The reason for doing this is because you often end up breaking the cheap knockoff. You end up spending just as much on the replacements, as you would on the name brand item. I figured that it could not be that big of a difference between a name brand grinder and a knockoff.
I will admit I have bought three of these grinders of the last year or so. Personally, since they are about 1/3rd of the price. I figured it would be okay if they did not last for a long time. Buying knockoff products is not necessarily going to save you any money. Unfortunately paying for three different SharpEdge grinders is equal to the cost of a genuine Space Case grinder.
Awhile ago I lost the stem that came with my Magic Flight Launch Box. I decided to try and look around to see if there was anything I could use as a substitute stem until I was able to get myself a replacement. I thought I would share with you the soultion I liked so much, that I have been using them as my main draw stems ever since.
The first thing that came to mind was a soda straw. I went digging around the drawers in the kitchen and found the box of spare straws I had laying around. The soda straw is almost a perfect fit. If anything it is just a bit small. I was able to fix that by warping a tiny piece of scotch tape around the end of the soda straw.
Follow these steps to create your own MFLB Replacement Stem:
- Find a spare soda straw. (You can clean out a used fast food straw or buy a box fro the grocery store)
- Pull about 2 inches of Scotch tape out of the dispencer.
- Wrap it around the end of the straw.
- Cut the straw down to length.
- If it is still loose add a second layer of tape. (I have never had an issue with needing more then one layer)
These DIY soda straw stems are inexpensive, easy to make, disposal, and look a little more stealthy then the glass stems. I like them so much that I never even bothered to order myself a replacement glass stem. I made a really short tutorial video that shows you the simple steps I take to make myself a replacement straw.

I wanted to take a moment to let you know some of the content that The Vaporizer Blog would be releasing in the future. I have been contacting various vaporizer manufactures to see if they would be willing to take part in an interview for this site. I have already gotten a handful of people who have agreed to be interviewed.
I am working out the details now. Currently I will offer two types of interviews to the manufactures and let them pick whichever one they prefer. The first style of interview will be a simple written question and answer. The other option I have is to record a conference call with them and turn the call into a podcast. I look forward to interviewing all the various vaporizers manufactures.
If you happen to be a manufacture, and would like to take part in an interview. Please visit the contact page.
The Magic Flight Launch Box has been around for years now. I don’t know the exact year it launched. For the longest time, it seemed like the only portable vaporizer option on the market. The only competitor it seemed to face was the ioLite. There is a lot of information and reviews on the MFLB available on the net already. I felt like it was still worth writing about for The Vaporizer Blog.
I purchased a Magic Flight Launch Box back in 2009 from a local smoke shop. They gave me a pretty decent deal. I think I ended up paying less than $100 USD for the unit. The review unit I am using for this review is the same exact unit many years later. If anyone is interested the serial number on the bottom of the device it is: 165607.
My MFLB came in the silver metal tin. Inside there was the main wooden unit, draw-stem, couple batteries and charger, carrying pouch, and a few instruction manuals. I found the kit had pretty much everything I needed in order to get started using the device. I made sure to charge all the batteries before my first use and read the directions.
Want to see if the MFLB will live up to your expectations? Keep reading after the break for more!
Thanks for checking out the website. Over the next few weeks I will be spending some time getting the site up in running order. As a long time smoker, I have been making the transition from smoking to vaporizing. Through my journey I have accumulated quite a few different vaporizers. I am hopeful what I have to share will be beneficial to everyone in the community. I look forward to bringing you reviews, news, and rumors associated with the rapidly growing vaporizer market.
